Side Table M05 Edition Design: Thomas Merkel, 2014
Side Table M05 Edition is a mixture of side table and tray table. The edition includes three versions of the round table from the M05 series. The trays are removable. The tables can be placed in front of and next to the sofa or armchair. As a single table or if more space is needed, you can add a second table, etc. And when you no longer need utensils stored on the table, you carry them back to their place with the tray.
The side tables are delivered disassembled. The necessary tools are included in the delivery. The frame is in three parts and consists of base plate, table leg and head plate. The head plate has an integrated thread and is screwed onto the table leg. The base plate is attached to the table leg with the enclosed screw. Once the frame is mounted, only the tray is put on. It is fixed to the frame by magnetic points. For hard floors, self-adhesive felt dots are included, which can be fixed under the base plate.

The frames are made of powder-coated steel. The three colours of the frames are not RAL colours.
The trays of this edition are made of special metals: stainless steel, copper and brass. Stainless steel, copper and brass are sanded, but the surfaces are not additionally treated. Thus, over time, the trays in copper and brass acquire a patina and their surface becomes more matte. There are appropriate care products available in the trade to clean them.
